This Regulation 4 testing is mandated by the City of Los Angeles in coordination with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The purpose of the testing is to ensure that all fire safety, suppression, and detection systems are functioning properly to protect the building and its occupants, in the event of a fire.
During testing, fire alarms will be audible to anyone in the building. Alarms will sound briefly and intermittently, with notice provided to occupants before activation. Additional fire life safety equipment, such as fire doors and panels, will also be inspected throughout the testing period.
Facilities Management appreciates your understanding and flexibility, as they work to complete testing ahead of the fall semester. For any questions, please email [email protected].
