Facilities Management has several projects over spring break that the community should be aware of.
Palm North Sidewalk: Mar. 2 – 5
From March 2 through March 5, Facilities will be trenching approximately 20 feet from the Palm North sidewalk to connect a new drainage pipe to the main line.
During this time:
• A portion of Rosecrans Lane will be temporarily blocked.
• The construction area will be securely fenced off.
• Pedestrian traffic will not be impacted.
• Vehicle traffic may be rerouted around the fenced work area.
Walkway by University Hall Fountain: Mar. 2 – 7
Facilities will install a new stabilized, decomposed granite pedestrian pathway nearest the LMU Drive entrance to campus. The walkway will be closed to all pedestrian traffic between March 2 – 7.
University Hall P2 Safety Post Replacement: Mar. 5 – Mar. 6
Bollards will be replaced near the ingress of the University Hall P2 parking garage. All vehicles must utilize the University Hall P1 driveway to reach University Hall P2.
Loyola Boulevard Storm Drain Installation: March – June
Installation of a new storm drain line will commence during spring break and is expected to end in June.
Work will begin behind Page Baseball Stadium and the far end of Sullivan Field, nearest 80th Street. Construction vehicles will use the service road between Gersten and Lion’s Athletic Field to access the space, with Hannon Field serving as the laydown yard.
Working hours will be 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
