MISSION AND MINISTRY | The CSJ Center for Reconciliation and Justice will host its annual symposium in February showcasing an array of sessions with justice as the fundamental theme. The symposium, “Faces of Justice: Listening, Discovering, Transforming,” aims to set a stage for all interested in listening, discovering and responding as we all continue our journey toward transformation within ourselves and as part of our commitment to our community.
The symposium includes sessions on the examination of hatred, restorative justice, voting rights, anti-racism and mental health, to name a few. We will host our Justice and Spirituality on Screen series with a special American trial clip night. Additionally, undergraduate students from “Voices of Justice,” an engaged learning course in the LMU Theatre Department, will feature dramatized narratives from residents of the Alexandria House, a transitional haven for women and children, and administrators, health care workers and COVID-19 survivors from Providence St. Joseph Health.
All sessions are free and open to the public. For full schedule and registration, visit https://academics.lmu.edu/csjcenter/annualsymposiums/2021/schedule/.
