The 2022 CSJ Center Symposium “Faces of Justice: Transforming Thought, Transforming Action” took place Feb. 1-3, 2022. This year, the CSJ Center highlighted the extraordinary creativity and hope that abounds even as we are living during a pandemic, worldwide social unrest and national search for a moral compass. It showcased the work of the LMU community and beyond with justice as the fundamental theme. All the recordings from this virtual event can be found here.
The symposium afforded opportunities to listen, discover and respond. It encouraged participants to journey toward transformation both within themselves and as part of their commitment to community. Although our country is divided, the desire that “all may be one” becomes an ever more essential message and mission of the CSJ Center.
Some of the topics include: “Compassion Knows No Borders,” “Refusing Death: How Asian and Latina Immigrant Women Fight Environmental Racism in L.A.,” and “COVID-19’s Impact on Communities of Color: Key Findings from a National Study for Congressional Caucuses of Color,” to name just a few.
