A recent rise in phishing attempts targeting LMU students, faculty, and staff has created a serious and urgent threat to cybersecurity at the university. These emails may offer job opportunities, provide deals on gift cards, ask for details about direct deposit information, or be an impersonation of a friend or co-worker. Several recent emails sent out appear to be coming from LMU professors and staff about research internships or remote work. Think before you click. Stay vigilant and alert to safeguard your identity and data and forward suspicious emails to servicedesk@lmu.edu.
