LMU community members should plan for temporary campus entry adjustments from Tuesday, July 7, through Thursday, July 9, and on Saturday, July 11, 2026, due to a private athletic event hosted by LMU Signature Events. Activities will take place on Sullivan Field.
The Loyola Boulevard entrance will be closed to all incoming vehicular and pedestrian traffic from July 7-11. Pedestrians can still utilize the Loyola Boulevard entrance via the west (outbound) sidewalk and will be required to present a valid LMU OneCard. LMU community members and all university guests are asked to use the Lincoln Boulevard entrance and please be prepared to present a OneCard or a reason for entering campus. At certain times, the Lincoln Boulevard gates may be lowered.
Access to Sullivan Field and the surrounding event area, including the weight room and locker room, will be restricted to event participants and authorized personnel. Community members are asked to refrain from gathering near the event area. Police and event security will be onsite to provide security for the event and will have vehicles parked outside the Life Sciences Building near Campus Safety Services.
These precautions are in place to help ensure the safety and security of this private event and are not in response to an emergency on campus.
