Every year, LMU Facilities Management uses the winter break to complete necessary repairs and improvements across the Westchester campus. Please be advised of the following projects during this year’s holiday closure:
- Central Plant Fuel Storage Area: temporary fencing will be installed Dec. 22 – Jan. 6, adjacent to O’Malley Alley.
- Foley Annex: preparation and demolition of the current generator, with installation of a new temporary replacement, may cause excess noise Dec. 19 – Jan. 6.
- Foley Strub Theater: alley pathway between Foley Annex and Foley will be closed to pedestrian and cart traffic, Dec. 15 – May 2023.
- Loyola Blvd.: the Loyola Blvd. entrance will have gate repairs on Dec. 19. Additionally, installation of the sand volleyball court outside the Burns Rec Center will create intermittent lane and road closures, Dec. 23 – Jan. 6.
- Parking Lots E and G: closed for asphalt paving, Dec. 17 – Jan. 7.
- Parking Lots K, H, I: will be closed for restriping of parking stalls, no parking zones, and ADA spaces, Dec. 22 – 30.
- Parking Garages Del Ray North, Drollinger, LSB, UHall: will be off-limits to parking to make room for street sweeping and debris removal, Dec. 29 – 30.
- University Hall 2nd Floor Atrium: carpet replacement will create limited atrium access from Dec. 19 – Jan. 2.
- University Hall Flagpoles: fenced enclosure and crane activity will be present Dec. 22 – Jan. 6.
Annual fire and safety alarm testing and inspections will occur campuswide, Dec. 19 – Jan. 6. Targeted notifications to impacted building occupants will follow.
