Do you want to make your voice heard within the LMU community? Applications are now open for LMU Campus Safety’s Student Ambassador program.
The Student Ambassador program, in its third year, was founded to grow community relations and engagement between Campus Safety officers and the students they serve, fostering dialogue and understanding between the groups as they help inform and shape the role of Campus Safety in the LMU community.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities throughout the academic year, including monthly sessions with Campus Safety leadership and staff. Ambassadors will also have the ability to define what the program means for them, brainstorming and structuring thoughtful activations for the issues they deem most important to the LMU community. Ambassador experience will particularly help students develop skill sets surrounding public policy and governance, marketing and communications, and public relations and events.
Campus Safety encourages nominations for students supporting a diverse representation of student life and campus organizations. The greater campus and the ambassador program will benefit from the varied involvement, skill sets, and life experiences that its members will bring to the association; last year’s ambassadors hailed from ASLMU, Athletics, Greek life, Residence Advisor positions, LGBT Student Services, and more.
Please submit your Student Ambassador nominations here, and share why you believe you would make an exceptional addition to the program. Applications are open until Friday, Sept. 30, at which time they will be reviewed, and final candidates selected and notified by Friday, Oct. 7.
For any questions about the program or the application process, please contact Devra Schwartz, vice president of campus safety and security, at devra.schwartz@lmu.edu.
