With mixed emotions we announce the retirement of Doug Moore, risk manager for Loyola Marymount University, effective June 30, 2025. Since joining LMU in February 2008, Doug has dedicated over 16 years to our institution, demonstrating unwavering dedication and strong leadership in risk management. His efforts have been pivotal in developing and implementing effective risk management strategies that ensure the safety of our campus.
Doug’s expertise and professionalism have earned him the respect of countless colleagues, making him a valued member of the LMU community. His contributions have had a lasting impact on our university, and he will be greatly missed.
As we prepare to bid farewell to Doug, we are actively conducting a search for a new risk manager. The importance of this role in our institution cannot be understated, and finding a suitable successor is paramount to continue the legacy of safety and security that Doug has helped build. We are committed to a smooth transition and will be working closely with Doug during this period to transfer his invaluable knowledge and insights to his successor.
