Dear Members of the LMU AAPIFSA Community,
At this moment in the year, when many of us in the API community welcome in the New Year with thoughts of continued abundance, health, and happiness with our close family and friends, the news of the tragic events at Monterey Park was heartbreaking.
Our hearts and thoughts are with the families and communities impacted, directly or indirectly, by this horrific event. While the perpetrator is no longer a threat to our communities, there are many unanswered questions surrounding the incident, leaving many of us on our own with the impossible task of trying to make sense of yet another senseless act of violence.
We hope that we can stay resilient as a community as we gather this week to support one another in these difficult moments.
To that end, the AAPIFSA e-board members will hold several Healing Spaces where our community can come together. It is intended as a space for reflection, to feel a sense of belonging, and to mutually support one another in the aftermath of what happened this weekend. All are welcome to join us.
Topic: AAPIFSA Healing Space: Jan 25 (W) 1-2 p.m.

Please take care of yourselves and your close ones and we hope to see you all again soon.

Thuy Le (Vice President)
Noriko Sato Ward (Treasurer)
