MISSION AND MINISTRY | The CSJ Center for Reconciliation and Justice will recognize five LMU “Hidden Heroes,” telling their stories as dramatized narratives followed by formal awards presented at the conclusion of the virtual performance.
The nominated LMU faculty, staff, students, alums, and community partners exemplify justice and reconciliation in their lives and their work. The recipients of the 2021 Hidden Hero Awards include: Antonio Felix, director of PLACE Corps; Abigail Magallanes ’21, with Leimert Park Community; Elena Meloni, founder and executive director of New Star Family Justice Center; Alicia Partnoy, author and professor emeritus of modern languages and literature; and Linda Whitfield, senior assistant dean for student services at Loyola Law School.
In a year with much uncertainty, it’s important to celebrate the everyday heroes among us. Please join us this Sunday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. PDT for a virtual recognition of these hidden heroes. This event is free and open to the public to register click here.
