Conference and Event Services has made important updates to the event scheduling policies and is providing the LMU community with valuable updates, and friendly reminders.
The Annual Tiered Events Policy has been updated and now will be called the University Priority Policy. Tiered events are now designated as Crimson, Blue or Gray. Please note many events no longer qualify as part of this updated policy. Crimson-level events are the highest priority and include Alumni BBQ, Alumni Relations Weekend, Commencement and Commencement related events, Family Weekend and Welcome Week. The updated policy can be found here. For more information regarding Policies and Venue Policies, click here.
Campus Safety Services has also introduced an LMU Event Security and Safety Form for events that meet certain criteria in order to create an effective and strategic event security plan. This form will be required if your event meets the following criteria:
- Events with 500+ attendees;
- Event topics or themes considered polarizing, widely debated, or widely popular speaker(s), host(s), and/or invited guest(s) who are elected or government officials (current or former); who are accompanied by a security detail (armed or unarmed); and/or who require extra security due to a specific threat, safety concern, or contract terms.
- For more information, please visit LMU Campus Safety’s Other Services page and select “Event Safety and Security” from the drop-down list.
As a friendly reminder, if you need to cancel or change your event, please do so via Mazevo three business days prior to your event. No shows will incur a $250 fee.
Anyone new to campus and or who would like a refresher workshop about how to schedule events using Mazevo, please email scheduling.ces@lmu.edu. Also, new training guides are coming soon.
Thank you to all of you who filled out our first Mazevo survey. Congratulations to the survey winners: Alessa Meni, Bradley Davis, and Elsy Arevalo!
