There are a few truths in life, one of which is that the Super Bowl halftime show is guaranteed to be packed with serious star power supported by only the very best back-up performers. So it comes as no surprise that 15 LMU Dance students and Folklorico group members were cast as performers for the big night, supporting big name headliners like Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.
The casting manager for this year’s Super Bowl ground-breaking halftime show was LMU School of Film and Television alumnus Jamil Akim O’Quinn MFA ’21, who knew his fellow Lions would be the perfect candidates for the job, and encouraged the students to audition. We are so proud of all our Lions taking part in this year’s event!
